Vincent, a talented Bucks County artist, had been pursuing creative endeavors since a young age and achieved some moderate success and awards early in life, there was a long span of time during which he rarely felt inspired to pick up his pen or brush. However, sometimes life's events offer unexpected twists. During a challenging period when his youngest son was hospitalized with severe Crohn’s disease, Vincent sought creative ways to entertain his son and pass the time. Together, they spent hours imagining stories and illustrating the characters they created, which quickly became a treasured activity for them.
'This was the first time I drew anything, in a long time, that made me feel again.'
Inspired by this experience, Vincent began focusing on creating large abstract watercolor illustrations that draw from the elements of the natural world and an imaginary realm. 'When I create, I apply the medium to paper or other surfaces, guided by my emotions and the world around me, seen and unseen.' Vincent invites his viewers to absorb the lines and textures of his work and derive their own emotional connections and opinions on what they see.
In addition to painting, he also explores wire bending, twisting, and curling hard wire by hand into intricate humanoid sculptures.
